Carrowkeel Megaliths

We arrived at Knock Airport at 8:30 in the morning. After picking up our spaceship we made our way to Carrowkeel along tiny country roads with cows and the odd donkey wondering what we were up to.
The 5.5km hike up to the 5000-year-old megalithic cemetery and back down took just under two hours. On the way we met more livestock, again looking at us slightly puzzled. The views were absolutely stunning.
We arrived at our hotel in Sligo early and had either a late lunch or an early dinner. Either way, it was delicious!
Now we are chilling in the lounge and will probably have an early night.Læs mere
