Day 3: Kinkakuji

We stopped by an area in Kyoto that had a lot of original buildings from a long time ago- our guide told us that they use the street a lot for TV and movies. Really beautiful sakura here too.

Then we went to the last shrine of the day. It was pretty amazing - the shrine is made of gold and sits on a body of water. We were getting there closer to the afternoon so the light was just perfect! The grounds were pretty small so it was a zoo in there with all the tourists, but we're glad we saw it.
