    I would love to say that adventures are fun and we are just having a blast. And that lovely oldtimer is easy not only on the eyes but also on the road. But it's not. It's tough, it's frustrating and it's heartbreaking. Our goal was to reach Nordkapp during this holiday. We have ~800km out of nearly 4k and can't move. Fuel pump is completely busted and we can't really drive the car. We tried all the mechanics in town with no success and now we are just waiting for roadassistant to make a decision if they can fix it and we move on or if we stop the journey here and somehow ship it home. Good thing is we are in Europe - we could at least get road assictance. And I am desperately hoping it will bring good news. Let's what the next couple of hours bring.Read more

    Hydra Mini

    Today was one more roller coaster. We were lost and in doubt. We were happy and hopeful. We were sad and anxious. We were puzzled and relieved. We were giving our best, but Mini just kept on throwing things at us non-stop for fuck sake. And at the end of the day, when the gas peddle got stuck in the middle of the down hill, things went from 'this is so fun and cute' to 'we are playing with fire'.

    Stay for the night

    Since we have to wait till Monday either way, we rented a car and off we went to Tromso. Definitely bigger city than expected, a bit of an odd mash between villages in Lithuania, a bit of German influence and some modern architecture sprinkled here and there. A bit of a weirdo this one.Read more

    Lapland magic vol. 4

    Probably final installment of Lapland. At least, we hope it's the final one. By now it feels a bit like golden cage - it is ridiculously beautiful, we are falling in love with it bit by bit but it doesn't want to let go of us. And today it was just one more proof of that. It was supposed to be an easy drive. Instead, we got stuck in a traffic jam or rather road closure since there was a horrible car accident and the road opened only around 10pm and we started the wait around 6pm... At least, I progressed through the book a bit. You lose some, you win some.Read more

    Train journey home. NOT

    It's soooo great that we booked a train to start heading back home. Sleeper night train to get us to Stockholm. Which was delayed for +3h, turned into first and second bus. And then manifested itself in a hotel just 200km from where we started. Oh, and is there a plan how we will get to Stockholm eventually? Of course, not. Why do you need a plan when you have to take care of +50 people? And today is not even over.Read more

    Back in Copenhagen and hopefully enjoying our last meal while on holidays. We found super nice Korean place - one more proof that I could live here - and now it's only the wait for (hopefully) our last bus and we might even be back in NL tomorrow morning!Read more
