    We had a very challenging hike across the Pyrenees Mountains. But we had an amazing time in Orrison. The scenery was incredible. The imteraction with fellow hikers was wonderful. The hiking itself was very hard but we made it.Read more

    After a pretty hard hike to Zubiri we’re getting ready for a 14 mile walk to Pamplona. The terrain was very challenging. 7.5 hours for 13 miles.

  • Estella to Sansol

    Beautiful Day. The guide book says we walked 17 miles but my Fitbit told me 19. Passing through Los Arocs with its high Church spire, was so beautiful. Tonight we’re in Sansol and tomorrow, Logrono.

    Only 13 miles today but they were challenging. We were in Santo Domingo before noon. We really enjoined the city. Tomorrow on to Belorado and Burgos in 3 days.

    We had a long and tough but educational snd beautiful hike to day. 18 miles long. Climbed a steep and long but beautiful mountain today. But we were able to see a monument at a mass grave site where solders fighting against Franco in the 1936 Civil Was were executed. Tomorrow it on to Burgos and a rest day. I’m excited.Read more

    We had to climb our last big mountain this morning before we get to the Meseta. We got over it fine and then took the River Route into Burgos. It was beautiful. We followed the River and park all the was into the city. Burgos is one of the most beautiful on earth. I’m so privileged to be able to visit a second time.Read more

    Beautiful day in this truly beautiful city. The trip into Burgos along the River was so beautiful. Meeting up with our Camino friends for dinner and wine was special.     The Meseta has some great places. First thing we saw today was the ruins of the St. Anton’s covent. Then we passed a castle build by Julius Caesar. Then we climbed the “oh Sh#t hill after Castrojeriz. I had a beautiful morning.Read more

    16 mile day with few photo opps. This is the “Rollo de Justices” that sits outside the Boadilla Cathedral. It symbolizes the independence given Boadilla in the 15th century to torture and hang their own criminals.Read more

    Not a great area for picture taking but a great walk. I’m still very happy. We reached the half way point today. Yeah. 250 mikes down, 250 to go. It’s a happy walk but in can be long and hot.

  • Calzadilla de Hermonilla to Mansilla

    Another short day but its gives our leg more time to rest. We can see the mountains on the horizon and we will start climbing them in a few days. So resting the legs will help. Tomorrow on to Leon. A great and beautiful city. I look forward to touring their Cathedral.Read more
