Day 8- Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Today was a chill day, sleeping late, enjoyed coffee on our balcony, unpacked, walked around the resort. They had a welcome party at the resort, we got leis-flowers for me, some kind of seed for Larry - there was a hula dancer and a native brother and sister who sang Hawaiian songs with guitar and ukelele. And they had puu-puu, an appetizer snack. It was nice and I was really happy to get such a beautiful Lei, since you don't get them at the airport anymore. We drove into downtown Kona to walk around for a little while, saw lots of restaurants and tourist shops and a gorgeous sunset on the beach. We are now relaxed and ready to see this island of Hawaii.
