Benteay Srei & Kbal Spean

We started our tour quite early today at around 5 am heading to Angkor Wat for the sunrise. It was nice but probably not what you are expecting since it was completely cloudy due to the rainy season.

So we moved on to Benteay Srei. It is a really beautiful temple with a lot of very fine and impressive reliefs. A big difference compared to Angkor Wat and a must see in our eyes.

Afterwards we moved on to go to Kbal Spean which is basically a small river in the middle of the jungle having a lot of artfully carved stones in the riverbed. The walk up there takes a few minutes and calms you down completely - especially when arriving quite early and being the only ones on the rocky and steep path. Following the river it will also guide you to a waterfall and there where some people taking a shower. So when you go there, make sure to bring some swimming clothes for a cold refreshing shower under the waterfall. Unfortunately we did not.

The drive back to Siem Reap took us about 1,5 hours in our Tuc Tuc.もっと詳しく
