Next town Cobram
1 day ahead of schedule
Made it safely across Lake Mulwala. Actually one of the easier days. Not sure what I was worried about.
Now in Yarrawonga Holiday Park. A caravan park on a mega scale! Forgot this is a long weekend in Victoria so was lucky to get one of the last tent sites. Have done my laundry, restocked at Woolworths and had a nice shower. Into town tonight for a proper meal somewhere.
The trip today involved a portage using my new little trolley. About 1.2kms escorted by a nice bloke who also took a video!

Fantastic Mark...Great effort ! Here I am hanging out for a decent paddle and your maxing out ! I do hope I can at least share a small part of your journey. Take care and enjoy this wonderful and unique experience. I am really enjoying the opportunity that the technology allows us...quite amazing really ( I know that’s an old farts comment but surely we can celebrate that truth at some point in time prior to the final breath ? ) Phil [Phil Duncan]
TravelerHi Phil. Not sure about maxing out. When you have all day on your hands there's no much else to do but paddle. Yes - I really hope we can spend some time together on the river when I get to SA.
TravelerNice to have a shower I imagine! I am sure there is a very obvious answer but why do you have to portage when there is water right by you?! Those boats! We find at Goolwa that we have to shut doors and windows when the speed boats, or even a boat, are out as they are really noisy.
TravelerHi Michele. They omitted to build a lock into the Yarrawonga weir for some reason, so it requires a portage around the weir. Good to use a few different muscle groups actually.. You can hear the power boats coming from kilometres away, which is good because it allows you to take evasive action, but does nothing for the tranquillity!
