Made it from Mildura to Wentworth today after taking advantage of a "cutting" where the river has found a new shorter course since it was first surveyed. This saved about 9kms.
Wentworth is on the junction of the Murray and Darling rivers. The Darling water is an opaque grey white colour quite different to the grey brown of the Murray.
I wondered about scores, if not hundreds of one man tents along the riverbank near Mildura. A guy in the caravan park said these are "placeholders" for Easter where people stake their claim for the best spots!

旅行者Yeah, it was weird that there so many tents and no people. Amazing to think that people would drive all the way up here from Melbourne just to stake their claim!
