• At sea

Our final day at sea and no avoiding the inevitable: packing. Our room attendants delivered our six suitcases yesterday. After breakfast, we got to work. The only added element to packing is that four of our six bags will be going to our home through a luggage service. Those bags will arrive about two weeks after we get home so we had to think through what we needed to have home right away and what could follow later. We were relieved to see that, despite our purchases, we had ample room. (Many of our fellow passengers have had to buy another suitcase.)

The other housekeeping matter we tended to was redeeming our “Big O” points for Oceania branded swag. Passengers collect points throughout the voyage by participating in activities onboard such as Team Trivia, golf putting, etc. We had a few points and cashed them in for a string backpack and a baseball cap.

It was our final dinner on board since we’re going out for dinner just the two of us in San Francisco tomorrow night. We spent it with our Oceania besties, Geraldine and Thomas. It was a wonderful bittersweet evening but we’re already planning getting together again a year from now.

We arrive in San Francisco tomorrow morning.
