After visiting the military museum at Ft. Stevens, we drove to Troutdale as we begin our journey back east. The temperature changed from 52 to 98 in a couple of hours!

ReisenderWe crossed the Mississippi river and are really in a very different world, birch and pine forest vs wide open fields. Fog and humidity this morning vs hot and dry. A constant we are reminded of however if the overhang of haze from the western and Canadian wildfires. It was very evident as we watched sunset over Sunday Lake on Saturday night.

Today we drove across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Munising. We took a 2 1/2 hour boat tour of the beautiful Pictured Rocks along Lake Superior. Afterward we ate our first pasties! Interesting.

ReisenderNewmar Factory tour was amazing. 3 men can move a 45 ft coach around by pushing it, suspended on air pads. Building 11 coaches a day. Assembly blew me away with virtually all components made in house. Quality is first priority. Happy that we got there and experienced their service too. Techs all came from the floor and had great expertise.
