    Up way to early in the morning, but it was well worth it. After a drive of about 2 hours we got to Waitomo where they have somewhere between 800-1000 caves, some of these have been commercialised for adventure tourism. We went to different caves, I went to Tumu Tumu where we did black water toobing/caving. It was an amazing experience and our guides Juri and Simon were very knowledgeable.
    We learned about stalagmites and stalactites, cave formation, and glow worms.
    After lunch we drove to Rotorua where we had a guided tour in a Maori village by Salam. He knew a lot about Maori culture and was very open to our questions.
