Rainbow Falls

One of the easiest waterfalls to get to in Hilo. You can almost drive to this view. The rainbow part of the waterfall shows itself around 10 am each morning. We were there a little after 1:00pm, but there was a small rainbow for about 30 seconds and my photo doesn’t show it. The cave behind the waterfall is a result of a lava tube that has had the top of the tube collapse leaving the cave. The tunnel and the collapse was thousands of years ago so we were safe.Read more
