West Palm Beach Family

Wow! As we wrap up our time in Florida and get ready to “jump the pond” we continue to spend time with family. This time with my mom’s sister, my Aunt Dottie. She is a kick and a pistol. Her home on the inner coastal waterway is beautiful and Tequesta is another of the many towns we will have to make our way back to for a deeper dive.

I am so happy that Dottie is living her best life. Her smile and joy is contagious. I’m also so very sad, as I can see glimpses of how my own mother might be if dementia and its side effects hadn’t taken her too soon.

I hear my mom’s voice in Dottie’s and I’m pleased to be near her, if only for a while.Read more
