Roman Amphitheater

Built in the year 150 AD, this Roman ruins is now surrounded by tall apartment buildings in the center of old Buda.
It seems that the Roman army built this type of Amphitheater is every large settlement across the empire.
I had the entire site to myself on the weekday afternoon I visited the ruins. Only one woman was playing frisbee with her dog when I arrived. After they left, I had unrestricted access to the whole thing.Read more
