Hungary has been through so much as a country. Many regime changes and so much turbulence with each political era. On top of that Hungary was a small but strategic nation in Europe during both World Wars. All of this combined to create chaos, bloodshed and a society of people who turned on each other changing their beliefs and political systems many times. In Each evolution different groups were persecuted, driven out of the country and many times tortured and killed in a mixed up attempt to build a country. The majority of the political turmoil occurring between 1910 and 1990’s. Which means that many of the victims and tormentors are still alive today telling their story. The Museum of Terror attempted to condensed all of that into a coherent message. Spread over four floors and a basement it was a dark and somber visit. Photography isn’t allowed but I snuck a few.Weiterlesen
