Arrowtown to Aoraki/Mt Cook

Started Trip with a Bike Ride in Arrowtown. We unfortunately lost Derrick and Nancy from Canada, shortly into the ride, with Nancy taking an exceptionally bad fall and breaking her wrist and dislocation in her shoulder.
We also had Josie go down with some skin scraps but alive, and Susan injures her wrist also but thankfully no breakage.

Tricky start to the trip for sure, but Jess handled everything well and our guests were amazing at being patient and kind while we sorted everything and everyone out.

Then we departed for our first destination, Mt Cook/Aoraki National Park.Read more

Hiked the Tasman Lookout track in the morning, then lunch at the Old Mountaineer Cafe, before hiking the Hooker Valley Track in the afternoon.

Driving from Mt Cook/Aoraki to Christchurch day.
Big roadie but stopped in Tekapo to hike the Lake Peninsula track, and check out the old Church and beautiful waters.
Also stopped in Burke's Pass for Real Fruit Ice Cream, and Fairly for delicious pies!!! Fair to say, it was Fairly busy at the Fairly pies 😂

Before cruising through the Canterbury plains and playing a few road trip games.

Once in Chch we settled in and went to dinner for the night.Read more

Drove up from Christchurch with a stop in Cheviot for a nice lakeside lunch, before continuing up along the coastal road and marine reserve, to hike the Kia Koura coastal path.

Kiwi Fish n Chips in the rain with an early night for the Dolphins the next day.Read more
