Day 9 Coeur D" Alene to Wallace

70.69 miles, 3103 feet. Today’s route started out on the Idaho Centennial Trail which ran along the beautiful Coeur D" Alene lake. The route turned into a rather rocky trail and then a dirt path up a steep climb. By mile 10, we realized that our route was a series of back roads that led to dirt trails that were not rideable. After attempts to reroute, it was finally determined that our only option was to take Hwy 90 twenty miles to the small town of Cataldo. After a much needed lunch stop, the route continued on the Coeur D" Alene Trail the rest of our way to our overnight and rest day in Wallace, Idaho.Read more
