The holiday has officially begun! We snapped this photo from the plane window somewhere high above the clouds on our way to Scotland. It’s nearly a 4-hour flight, and we’re buzzing with excitement, this will be our very first time visiting Scotland! Can’t wait to explore, take in the scenery, and make the most of this long-awaited trip. ✨

The view from the sky never gets old, there’s something calming about being above it all, watching the world shrink below you while thinking about all the adventures to come.

Arrival in Edinburgh

We’ve touched down in Edinburgh! After a smooth flight, we’re now waiting for the coach to take us to pick up our hire car. The fresh Scottish air and the buzz of being somewhere new is already setting the tone for an unforgettable trip. It’s that exciting in-between moment, the travel haze is still lingering, but the freedom of the open road is just around the corner. Can’t wait to get going and see what Scotland has in store for us!

We’ve just picked up our hire car from Easirent — smooth process and friendly staff, which always makes the start of a road trip feel that bit easier. There’s something exciting about having the keys in hand and knowing the whole of Scotland is waiting to be explored. Next stop: our hotel! Can’t wait to check in, freshen up, and properly kick off the holiday. Let the adventure truly begin! 🌄✨

Made It to Premier Inn.

We’ve arrived at Premier Inn Dundee North, which will be our base for the next few days. It’s a great spot to relax and recharge between adventures while exploring the area. After a full day travelling, the comfy bed is exactly what we needed.

On the Road to Edinburgh 🚗🏰

We’re on the road from Dundee to Edinburgh — about a two-hour drive through some lovely Scottish countryside. It’s our first proper day of exploring and we’re so excited to finally see the capital. The weather’s been kind so far, and the views out the window are a great start to the day. Can't wait to arrive and start wandering!
