Walk around Shanghai

We had a free day today to explore before meeting the tour group at night so we walked down the Bund and took a ferry to the other side of the river to check out the Oriental Pear Tower. We went for a really nice fancy lunch and continued exploring and took the ferry back over the river. We walked around the hotel area and discovered some nice little places to eat and a Starbucks! We went to the welcome meeting for the tour and everybody seems to be really nice. We went for some dinner at a place near the hotel which we had said earlier that day looked disgusting...but it was actually quite nice. We both had some kind of duck noodles.
