Hills train and drive to Kandy

A big day of travelling today which started with a drive to Ella station where we took the most amazing train ride through the tea plantation hills. Hanging out of the door of the train catching the breeze and stunning scenery. Tuan picked us up from Nanu-oya and we drove a further 3 hours to Kandy stopping off for lunch at a lovely restaurant overlooking a waterfall and then we were taken to a Tea factory where we managed to get conned into buying $60 worth of tea! We then checked into the Golden Crown Hotel which was in the style of a 5 star hotel, but not quite 5 stars.Leia mais
