I woke up with a cold this morning, but luckily we had very little to do. Our first and only stop was at Tokyo Station to catch the Shinkansen to Kyoto. Once there, we checked into the hotel, and then Richard and Mom went out to grab dinner and explore.
There’s a vegan Japanese restaurant near the hotel, so they picked up a bento for me before heading to a teppanyaki restaurant for their own dinner. Richard was particularly excited about the unlimited Whisky Sours from a tap on the table, and came back to the hotel very happy and full of liquor and grilled food.Read more
