Stonington Maine

We loved Stonington. It was a quaint little town, and there was a museum there that was closed, but the guy came out and started talking to us, and when we told him we were leaving the next day, he brought us in and gave us a personal tour. It was awesome.

One of the most amazing things we saw was a lobster split almost perfectly down the middle—one color on one side and a completely different color on the other. these “split” lobsters occur only about once in every fifty million. Some even turn out to be half male and half female, making them one of the rarest sights in the ocean - and we got to hold one.Read more
