Well, what can I say about today. Took the mountain roads from Montenegro to Albania. All amazing again. Left Montenegro ok, crossed in to Albania ok. Was told the insurance booth was 2 km along the road, but there was a fork in the road. We obviously took the wrong road, then tried the other. Found said insurance booth,but it's closed and looks to have been for a long time. No phone signal, then by chance stopped to think about or options and had a wee bit of reception. A Google of the company took up their offices around Albania. Was one in the town we planned to stay at. So we had a 100-ish miles of a drive with no insurance. It was an amazing road tho. Got the insurance min of 50 days cover cost 13 euro. Found our accommodation, it was only booked 2 hours earlier. Followed instructions to call the property owner, only for them to keep hanging up. Called booking,com and they sorted it. The Albania drivers are nuts. Coaches over taking us on blind bends for one. Walked to the local Spar for supplies, to have a young woman pester me for cash. This place is an eye-opener.Les mer
