• Heading to Stanthorpe

    14. August 2020 in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

After stuffing around at home for seemingly ages we finally had the campervan packed and ready to go (well at least we though my we did, we’d actually forgotten a load of things - table, blanket, breakfast cereal ..). We dropped the kids off and headed out towards Canungra where we stopped for lunch and had a quick look around. Pleasant enough little town.

Next stop was a really quick shop in Beaudesert before continuing on towards Boonah. I thought id take us on a route past a brewery but we ended up on the wrong road so it took us a little longer. The brewery ended up just being this tiny little cafe so it hardly seemed worth it.

This new route took us past Lake Moogerah and we stopped for a quick break. We stumbled across the dam and took a quick walk out spotting some turtles while we were there!

Had to try and make up a bit of time as I was keen to get to Stanthorpe before dark. It meant we didn’t have time to stop at Warwick apart from a fuel stop and we made it to the caravan park just ask was getting dark. We settled in (just plugged in really!) then went for a walk into town to have dinner at the local Japanese restaurant which wasn’t bad. Would have liked to take a walk around town but needed to get back to the car so that I could watch the footy.
