    Lucky bay

    September 11, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

A great drive out to Lucky Bay to check it out, the colour of the water and sands just keep getting better and better.

The coastline is incredible, the sand Lucky Bay is a quartz sand that came from the granite rocks and due to weathering over time, if you put them under a microscope you would see they have rough surfaces known as frosting, when you walk on the sand the particles rub together and that causes a squeaking sound.

There was a local (photo) just chilling out near the beach.

TravelerBeautiful 😍 There was a coffee van on the beach at Lucky Bay when we stayed there. They did a roaring trade with so many cars on the beach.
