The Goat Inn

We celebrated Aunty Lona's 80th and Nick's 28th birthday at the Goat Inn, it was lovely to see family I had not seen in years and to bring everyone together. We surprised Nick with a vegan birthday cake (I think his face went the colour of Nain's dress). The Goat Inn is a lovely, old stone country pub with a rustic interior. As we had booked in advance, the pub was very accommodating and served us a 3 course vegan meal. For starter a vegetable soup which was hearty and packed full of flavour, served with warm bread rolls, for main a vegan curry containing cauliflower, potato and pineapple, giving it a sweet and sour flavour, creamy with mild spice. For desert a chocolate fudge brownie which was rich and very sticky. It was a lovely meal but after 3 courses, the food belly reared it's ugly head!もっと詳しく
