Amongst the Vines all day

Day 11/40 Our stay at the Winery was pure rest and relaxation. Much needed for Jem who is coughing up a lung non stop. No dinner was had so we were very pleased to have a fabulous breakfast overlooking the vineyards and looking out to a beautiful sunrise. Fresh warm bread, array of meats and cheeses, eggs and coffee was a chilled start to our day. About 18k walk to Nájera through vineyards. Photostop at the 12th century Roman gate just outside Navarette. Then walking through the Riojan vineyards mostly ripe with heavy fruit. Into Najera for the night in a gorgeous hostel where they greets us with a free beer for Jem. Our hostel just off the Camino down a narrow street with washing hanging out on verandahs. 577km to go.En savoir plus
