Hornillios to Castrojeriz

First stop today we had already walked to the halfway point. Not without mental complaint, it was a long walk on an empty stomach and probably colder than expected. On a high note, it was so good to arrive into a warm cafe and have breakfast. Sometimes this is the highlight of the day, and it’s social too, you reconnect with people you’ve met a couple of days ago as if they are amigos. Or you meet a french man who has walked from his home in the alps, he set out in August, his son is working in Bowen Queensland. I love the randomness of it all (if that’s what it is), and the infinite possibilities of connections with people, with the environment, the nature of it all.Leggi altro
