First full day in Budapest

What a busy day! We did a 2.5 hour Pest walking tour which took in many of the sights of this part of Budapest. It included St Stephen's Basílica, Prime Minister and President's residence, the biggest church in Budapest and the Parliament Buildings. The walk along the Danube was incredible and very moving when we got to the shoe memorial. This was a representation of 60 shoes to mark 600,000 lives taken by the Nazis. We ate langos for lunch (a sort of savoury flat doughnut with toppings) and then visited Heroes square.Weiterlesen
