• long story short (or really just long)

We welcome you with open arms, G.O.A.T.s of Mount Olympus.

Today, on our last day, I had to debate upon one thing. Should I be evermore themed? Or purghaps Midnights, due to the minimal amount of days left?

I decided to not be Taylor Swift and ignore the existence of evermore. Hence that is the theme of today’s blog. (How does one do that?? Yeah I don’t know. It might just be a regular blog, to be fair).

How will I incorporate all the albums, you ask? Well, on our first day back in our home country of France, I have decided, due to demand that I will, in fact, elaborate in the long list of things in 🎵Honey, I rose up from the dead🎵. I did lie to you when I said I would not. Also some exclusive photos from mine and Tate’s secret club! Allegra will finally learn what it entails 😂.

So there! Now you know my plans! Yayyyy!!

Today, I woke up at a regular time (ten thirty. That is pretty good considering how late I was up). I was cold, the kind of cold that fogs up windshield glass, but I wrapped myself in blanket (the kind you throw over barbed wire of course). I read for half an hour, until Lily came upstairs and woke me up. We had to film once again for our glorious music video, Now That We Don’t Talk by Taylor Swift.

However, this lead to problems (our hometown skeptics called it champagne problems), since Lily doesn’t know how the camera works, and she seems to think that Allegra should know how it works.

Plot twist, she doesn’t, and this annoyed Lily, acting as if she was in the goddamn fight of her life (and you started it). But we managed to film a good amount (featuring mum and dad almost dropping me).

As we readied ourselves to go, put on makeup and swimsuits and shoes (if the shoe fits, walk in it everywhere you go), Mum and Lily got into a pretty big argument about Capitalism vs Communism.

It’s not hard to guess who was on which side, Mum being an extreme left wing supporter (and I mean extreme), and Lily loving to argue with Mum on just about every subject. My calm words of reason were payed no heed.

Things escalated quickly, and Dad got involved, he could not tolerate it, and got annoyed at Lily, for some things said. Lily then walked out, because sometimes walking out is the one thing that will find you the right thing.

This was not the case here, but as we were leaving anyway (you know when it’s time to go) we all walked out after her. On our way to the beach that we were looking for, we talked and I rambled at Lily for long enough that she apologised to Dad (purghaps to get me to stop talking, but she can’t stop me putting roots in her dreamland 🤷‍♀️) and all was well for a while. Dad accepted this apology, but in a man way, (because let’s not forget, he is not men, he is man)

But when we sat at the rocky beach (sadly not on a bench like one might find in Coney Island), we had an interesting conversation about Taylor Swift (we were begging for foot notes in the story of her life).

We also discussed our feelings about going home tomorrow (not back to LA, with so/called friends, but to France). Mum was quite sad, but I would like it to be known that I could not really care less. France is pretty cool too. I’m looking forward to seeing my friends. No one believes me and seems to think that I am secretly all torn up about it. I am not. (As we know, a train can take me home, and anywhere else is hollow).

But anger struck once again when we entered the water. After having a very fun time swimming about, Lily was angered by the twins attitude towards people having fun, and said “it makes me hate you as people a little bit” (calling them out like one does at dinner parties, generally on contrarian sh*t). Once again, things escalated quickly and Allegra mentioned that she would not be averse to Lily’s death. Not in so many words, though. No body no crime and all that. Lily stormed out of the water (as much as one can storm, really, water is quite a bad place to storm in), and Allegra informed me that all I was was “Lily’s little minion”. I took offence at this accusation, and went off to find my leader- uh, I- I mean big sister.

Long story short, it was a bad time.

But apologies were said all round (after a bit of stubbornness, of course) and everyone chilled out on our last day in Greece. Last minute transitions were filmed (go follow us @alolliru. I know that no one has done it!! There could be happiness because of you 😠 ), and a good time was had by all, and eventually we decided to head back to the place we were staying.

    Long story short we survived.

People showered and chilled, because can we just get a pause to be certain we’ll be tall again?. Reels were sent on instagram (deciding on smashes and passes), and books were read. Eventually, we all got ready to go out, filmed one more transition, and then we were off to the restaurant. It was pretty good, I accidentally spilled my drink all over the table. Luckily, glass didn’t shatter on the white cloth, so everybody moved on. But dad did lovingly call me his “most incompetent child”.

Dinner was tasty, and we had a nice view of the harbour. The water was so inviting, I almost jumped in, but I refrained because we were at a high height and I could have died.

The sunset was nice, I love the amber skies so much. But when we walked back it was dark. I did ask Tate to dance at one point, but as we know, dancing is a dangerous game, so she didn’t answer. Maybe she didn’t hear me? We took an ussie, maybe our last in Greece, with a view of the harbour. I remember all the city lights on the water- oops, wrong album.

Back at our place, it was the same as it ever was. We sat outside, and biscuit time was cut short by the fact that we barely had any, but the Legrechaun did bring out all that we had. We talked, posted reels (@alolliru) and composed our blogs.

And that brings us to here. I know that it’s over, I don’t need your closure.

You may have noticed that the blog is evermore themed because I reference lyrics from the album the whole way through. Or maybe you just thought I was strangely poetic.

Honorary mention today goes to biscuit time. A small thing, purghaps, (by the way, I do say purghaps on purpose, it’s not a constant spelling mistaco. Same with mistaco.), but an important thing and a family chill time. Our last one was today, so honorary mention goes to that.

    Peace right out.

    Cheeeeese!!
