Ever-foolish girl of dreams

Sali Mali and Le Petit Prince, signing in.
Have you missed me? Have you wondered where I was? Have you wept tears of boredom? Perhaps even tears of fear, wondering whether I had perchance died?
I’m assuming not.
But first and foremost, let me explain my absence.
I, being an ever-foolish girl of dreams, forgot my phone at a snowboarding place (little sneak peak of our activities there) (also I go by ever-foolish girl of dreams now).
So I was unable to compose my artful literature, much to the disappointment of my avid readers (being my parents).
But onto it!
So we woke up as usual and got dressed, before enjoying a yummy breakfast of boiled eggs, of course Terry was fooled by the egg trick as usual. Andrea didn’t seem to understand the concept, or the point, of such jokes, but joined in wholeheartedly and even laughed when Terry exclaimed “oh no!!!”, although it may have been nervous laughter as she realised that she was spending time with crazy people.
Who knows?
And then we changed into wetsuits im order to walk up to the Witch’s Cauldron, and hopefully swim, and the three of us (this is minus Terry) walked up there.
(Break for singing I Wanna Dance With Somebody, what a boppin’ tune)
So then Granny, Andrea and I did the twenty one minute walk (and not 10, like Terry told us: suck it Terry, Granny was right!) hoping that there would be no seals, and so we would be able to swim into the cauldron.
However, we were lucky since there were no seals! But we were unlucky since the tide was way too high and we could not swim in.
So we walked in wetsuits for twenty minutes for nothing! And then, twenty minutes back. However the views slapped so observe those in the pics below.
Upon our return, Granny went out to get Fish and Chips and Terry and Andrea were subjected to my impeccable music taste, that is to say, Taylor Swift. We watched a series of music videos, and I will make a Swiftie of Terry yet. Oh, I also tried on his glasses haha.
When Granny arrived, some yummy yummy fish and chips were consumed, and we watched an episode of Hit List. Coincidentally, there was finally a Taylor Swift song on there, which I got in the first second- and so did Terry! We had watched the video for willow, and he said it was a good song, and so when it played on Hit List, he remembered it!
I told you I would make a swiftie of him.
But Jill called and so Granny drove us to Tesco so that we could be picked up. At Tesco, Jill stepped out of her van, armed with a pumpkin! The pumpkin was promptly handed to Granny, and then we were off!
The drive was lengthy (about ten minutes) and not for the weak of mind (I don’t know why I’m being dramatic) and then we arrived at Llangranog! Twas the same as it always was. We joined Isabel Fizabel (as I now call her) at Sam’s house, and went on a small coast walk while we waited for sauna time!!
Now you should know that I, being an ever-foolish girl of dreams, was very worried about Alice joining us for snowboarding, because I think that the last time I saw her, I was about nine?
Izfiz reassured me that I had nothing to fear but I still feared.
When sauna time arrived, we got in the sauna. I assume you are not surprised. The heat was unbearable, and then we ran into the ocean, and the cold was unbearable. And then back into the sauna!
We did this four times total, and we got very judged by people in coats wondering why we would do this to ourselves. But overall it was a cool time.
After that, we walked back to Sam’s place and chilled for a bit before heading off to snowboarding! We met up with Alice there and it was al good, as usual I am a fool and should not have been worried because Alice hasn’t changed a bit.
I then changed in the toilet, and thinking myself very smart, I took my phone out my jean pocket so as not to drop it on the floor.
That done, I went back out to get a helmet and gloves, and of course a surfboard!
No just kidding haha I know I am hilarious. That is a trademark ruby funny joke.
I actually got a snowboard, and then we were out with a teacher named Huw and an expert assistant, named Izzy.
I was the first to fall in the lesson, and the pain in my calves for the whole time was extremely painful and I lost feeling in my feet.
We did a race, sitting on the boards, and Alice and I crashed and of course Izzy won.
But we were injury-free since 1963!
And then it was back to Izzy’s house for a sleepover! As we pulled up to her house I realised that perhaps I had actually suffered an injury. One of the most important parts of the modern day teenager was missing, and I don’t know how I didn’t realise earlier.
My poor phone, sitting alone in a bathroom stall, wondering why I took it out of my pocket, thinking myself smart, only to never pick it up again.
But there was nothing to do except live with the loss for a day. Hey, at least my screen time will be down!
We hung out on her bed in her awesome room as Izzy added beads in Alice’s hair. Some cool gossip was learned (which I will not share 🤭) and a lot of reminiscing was done (about paper plane crashes and more).
Dinner was a ~delicious~ squash and ginger (?) soup, with fish-finger sandwiches. I was perpetually confused, much to the amusement of my friends.
But Alice had to leave, since she had school tomorrow, and so we all walked her to her house, which included shining the torch into the eyes of some driver (sorry!).
Back at Izzy’s, I tried on a bunch of her clothes, which she gave me, but then we got really worn out and went to bed. Of course we did yack for a while, but it was late and I don’t know what was spoken of, but I do know that real fake curtains were involved. And so were Maltesers.
And then we slept!
Honorary mention today goes to Izzy’s house, a perpetual mess and very unorganised, a confusing layout and still one of the best houses I have ever entered, with the best people and the best cats inside hehe.
