Day 5 27/6/26
May 27 in Indonesia ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C
I was collected by my driver at 8 am and we drove for about 1.5 hours to Tegenungan waterfall. I had photos taken and explored. Beautiful place. Lots of walking. Very hot today so was breathless quickly as loads of steps.
We drove onto the rice fields. It was very busy there. Lots to see but needed a tour guide tbf. Steps up and down and across fields. Lots of people and a lot going on there was zip wires, magic carpets that took you across from one side to the other, and there was lots of different swings. The Red dress swing was something I’ve always wanted to do and now I have.
Onto the Coffee plantation, I was shown the animal that eats the coffee bean, not happy that it was in a little cage and looked very sad, the coffee is made from their poo. Apparently there are hundreds of luwarks in the jungle that come out when it is dark, in the daytime the staff collect their poo.
After a brief tour, I was given some tea and coffee to sample.
The Bali coffee was very gritty
But all the other coffees and teas were lovely
I didn’t try the coffee made from animal poo though!
Bali's famous animal coffee, known as Kopi Luwak or civet coffee, is made from beans excreted by the Asian palm civet (locally called a luwak). The small, cat-like nocturnal mammals eat the ripest coffee cherries, and natural enzymes in their digestive tract ferment the beans, resulting in a distinct, smooth, and expensive brew.
Onto restaurant for lunch. Wasn’t that hungry so just had soup and drink. But it was nice. After lunch we went to my hotel and I checked in very nice place with two swimming pools.
Chilled in room as very tired. My sunrise Jeep tour what’s app to confirm pick up of 03:15 🥴. Not even got a tan yet lol too busy exploring.
Went for a walk to the market and stopped to eat. Not really hungry but can’t go to bed with just some soup in me back to room to try n sleep 😴Read more
