Koh Lanta

Departed Koh Phi Phi for Koh Lanta this morning - 30 mins on the speedboat. Greeted at the doc by an interesting scooter/ tuk tuk contraption and for 50THB (£1.20) we couldn’t resist a laugh on the way to our hotel. As a motorcycle design engineer, this bolt on contraption sent shivers down my spine but we arrived safely. Off to hire a scooter and explore the island including old town Lanta and Long Beach before returning back ready for a private late afternoon Thai cooking class with myself Jess and the chef. We chose four dishes (chicken and prawn golden bags, steamed fish, seafood and tamarind sauce and massaman curry with rice) and learned to cook them all from scratch.
