Chiang Rai in white, blue and black

After a 3 hour bus journey from Chiang Mai we arrived in Thailands northern city of Chiang Rai last night just in time to look around the night markets once again. The following morning we hopped on the scooter to explore some of the infamous temples - the white temple, the blue temple and the black houses, each stunning in their own way. Afterwards we rode out to explore Big Buddha of Chiang Rai standing 90m tall - the views from the top looking over Chiang Rai and surrounding mountains were awesome. After a long day, we opted for a change in cuisine and went for Italian pizza and pasta and although still really good, it couldn’t compare to local Thai food we’re getting use to. We finished the night chatting to another couple in a reggae bar although not a late one as we’re flying to Bangkok in the morning.Leggi altro
