Cologne Cathedral

This cathedral is ridiculously gorgeous. Pics also featuring the treasury and the tower climb (which my legs did not thank me for, but my eyes did). The golden reliquary (allegedly) houses the bones of the three magi, here for nearly a millennium now and an important pilgrimage site. The relics' original wooden reliquary is housed in the treasury (pic included). The treasury is housed in vaults from the older structure (the mosaic floor in pic is also from original structure) and the Roman ruins they were built upon. Bonus: German music man! Czytaj więcej
