Rothenburg city walk

This place might be one of my favorites so far. Really fun atmosphere (they're not afraid to capitalize on their medieval vibe) and interesting history (this was the main ruling and trade center of the region back in the day). Includes shots of St. Jacob's church, a famous stop along the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail with an equally famous (and huge and intricate) woodcarving piece. (The big door I'm posed in front of I later found a painting of from the 1800s in the museum I saw next. Neat. The little door is actually part of a stone alter piece in the church from the 14th century where the Eucharist was kept).Read more
