Hohensalzburg Fortress

One of Europe's biggest castles, this was at the time "impregnable" and the seat of power for the archbishop of the region. Beautiful views from the panorama platform built at the tower top in the 1800s. I went ahead and hiked up instead of taking the funicular (LOT of uphill lol). The model of the medieval town in salt was a nice touch (since the salt trade is literally what put Salzburg on the map).Baca selengkapnya
