We bought a boat!

The original plan was to buy a van. But after weeks of unsuccessful searching, this boat was seeming more and more like a good idea. And it was half the price that it started at..
So we arranged to see the boat and had our first look around in -30 degrees. The owner had lost the keys for the padlock so step one was to borrow some bolt cutters from work and break in. We really hoped the guy actually owned this boat…
The boat was in a complete mess, but seemed structurally sound.
So, insanity overcame reason, and we bought it!
The previous owner assured us all she needed was a lick of paint and she was good to go…which seemed optimistic, at best.
