Leaving the Galapagos

Having spent 8 days in the Galapagos was beyond words and description. The wildlife was amazing and plentiful

I did have an interesting experience on one dive. I looked at my air gauge and noted 500 bars which was low but not horrible. We saw a shark and went back down then I looked again.

I was at zero.

And no air to breathe.

I started heading for the surface when I realized that I had not done the 3 minute safety stop. I quickly went back down and gave the out of air sign to a diver and we buddy shared until the stop was complete.

I had always wondered how I would react to that situation and I do exactly what I was trained to do.En savoir plus
