Santillana del Mar

Left Santander by train and made some new friends. Denise was ludicrously excited when she saw Andrew’s spreadsheet as hers was almost identical.
It was a very hard hot walk today and we were too exhausted to appreciate Santillana which is a lovely quaint village. We stayed in the convent where we think we got the last 4 beds sharing with 4 Taiwanese people who had spread themselves all round the room and were probably disappointed when we arrived. We went to a pilgrim blessing and then had a communal dinner. I went to bed at 9 pm seriously wondering if I’d be able to walk tomorrow.Читать далее
