Stopped at Mums snd visited Dad in St Davids hospital. Lovely takeaway in the van with mum
On to the wild West

Visited Jess and Ron, then onto St Davids via Solva. Storm Ellen is brewing
St Davids & meet ups

Met Hen & El in The Bishops, little wander around our site, then a BBQ when El and Gaz arrived
Coasteering adventure

Blue lagoon dare devils, including Helen, then some lunch at the Bishops followed by cards in the van
Aberystwyth via Porthgain

Final visit to St Davids, a quick pop to Whitesands to see the Surfers, then to Porthgain for lunch, before setting off to a lovely site in Aberystwyth
Bala final stop

Did some work in aberystwyth, then off to Bala. Sorted a cheeky stop at the B and B we stayed in last year. Cost a bottle of brandy! Had a drink in the Plas yn Dre and the White lion then a kebab onWeiterlesen
Leg 1 Mid Wales Churchstoke

Saundersfoot Day 3

Via Mam and Ron, we landed up in the lovely Saundersfoot. Had a beer outside the pub, fish and chips, then back to Will's field, very quirky indeed.
Tenby

Parked by the posh house in North Tenby as advised by Will. Walked into town to hunt Wally the walrus, but sadly he's departed Tenby. Had a beer and a fish tacos 🌮
Bosherston and Tenby

Walked the lily ponds to Bosherston then popped to Tenby for yummy pasties
Solva

Took the scenic route via Little haven, up to Solva. Nice walk down then onto our campsite
Pencarnan, St Davids

Meandered around St Davids, stopped for a beer in the centre and spotted Anthony Hopkins and family! Got to the site and set up and got a bbq going when Ellie, Gaz, Fabie and friend arrived. FreezingWeiterlesen
St Davids

Down to the little beach with Charlie for a run, then into town for toilets, food & drink. Ellie & Gaz cycled, then went to the Blue lagoon. Fabian & Kieran mixed it with the locals over many beersWeiterlesen
Homeward bound

A final walk on the beach with Charlie still poorly, then pack up, visit the loos and head home after 8 days away. Stopped in Aberaeron for fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 on the way home. Home 5 hoursWeiterlesen
Day 2 Yorkshire Dales

Walked past the pub from last night and did a circular route of 9 miles. So peaceful
Day 3 - Inveraray

After a 4 and a half hour trip of 230 miles we arrived at Argyll Caravan park. In the nick of time for Mark to start his meeting! Popped to the onsite pub for a pint and some advice from the locals
Day 4 Inveraray

Walked into Inveraray which took an hour. Had a pint and a venison burger in the Garden of the George and chatted to locals about the world, Air BnB and retirement. 8 miles walked today
Day 5 Glencoe & Arisaig

3 hour (115 miles) trip up to the west coast, via the Clachaig Inn. Another retirement pep talk! Arrived at our beautiful coastal campsite at 4. Sat overlooking the beach with a wine. Bliss!
Day 6 - Mallaig & Arisaig

Into Mallaig, had langoustines at the Clachain pub and chatted with a Morar couple about where to watch the match. Coastal Rd back, beautiful
Day 7 Boat trip & rugby

Arisaig for breakfast at the Marina cafe. Mental note for Island boat trips from here. Into Mallaig for the wildlife boat trip - porpoise & seals, then onto the Morar Hotel for the Lions game. ShouldWeiterlesen
Day 8 - over the sea to skye

Gorgeous beach walk before we headed to the port for our ferry. We got the last place on an earlier one, then drove onto Isle Oronsay and had a pleasant drink while osprey/heron spotting! Then backWeiterlesen
Day 9 onto Plockton

Short drive over to our favourite Plockton, but via an undiscovered beautiful bay we'd spotted on a map. Gorgeous, need to swim there next time. Parked outside the Plockton Inn and walked over toWeiterlesen
Day 10 - Ullapool

Took the more direct route to Ullapool of 80 miles/2 hours. Only just got into Bloomfield campsite. Seafood shack was too busy so had a pint and laughed at locals saying the 'yellow ball' (sun) wasWeiterlesen
Day 11 - Achnahaird beach

Rained most of the day. Had our Seafood shack lunch of haddock wrap and mackerel fillets, yum, but filling. Drove to a beautiful beach where Charlie went mad and we watched some Divers (birds)Weiterlesen
