Day 1 up to Hilltop

Set off at 12.30 and stopped for a break in rubbish weather. Got to our Airbnb after being sent up some tiny lanes. The 'barn' was lovely if a little basic. We braved the hot tub then went up to the Cuckoo pub for some nibbles and a drinkLæs mere

Day 2 - Over to Bowness

Set off to go for a coffee near the lake, but ended up catching the boat over to Bowness. Had a coffee and a wander around for a few hours. Ended up in a nice Arts pub, then grabbed some fish, chips, and curry to eat while waiting for the boat home. A bit knackered when we got back, including Charlie with sore paw. Popped over to the local pub the Tower Arms and had a nice chat with some other travellersLæs mere

Day 3 - up to keswick

Packed up from the airbnb and took the 45 minute drive up to keswick, via Ambleside and Helvellyn. Explored Keswick for a couple of hours, Helen enjoyed the market and we had a pint before checking in at the campsite. Very nice place, and after a couple of hours setting up and chilling in the van we walked down the path and onto keswick. Landed in a lovely tapas place then popped to see a dodgy local band - Costa del solway. Taxi back to the vanLæs mere
