Day 1 Wales v Portugal

6.30 taxi to Liverpool for our 9.40 flight to Nice. Got the tram 🚊 but got on the wrong one. Eventually, we found our apartment, not great at all, but good situation by the Port. Went to the rugby village for the game, a nice vibe in the amphitheatre, but Portugal played really well, and we managed to squeeze through. Day 2 Exploring Nice

A coffee ☕️ and an omelette by the port, then wandered along the lovely Promenade des Anglais. A leffe to chill and chatting with fellow fans. Into town for an Aperol spritz and a sidestreet pizza that we ate in a buzzy square. Watched Fiji beat the Aussies, then England v Japan, followed by some top Welsh singing🎵Read more

Day 3 over to Biot

Out of our rubbish Airbnb, had a coffee, then off to the Promenade. Some rain came in, so dived into a bar for a couple of beers and a chat to some fellow Welsh. Walked to the train station, only to experience a bomb scare that delayed us. Train over to Biot, then a bus up to our lovely hotel. After the rain had passed, we walked up to Biot village (puff puff) and a lovely Italian at Mama mias.Read more

Day 4 Biot & Antibes

After a lovely breakfast, walked up to Biot, which was beautiful in the sunshine. Sculptures and an Art gallery. Bus over to Antibes and wandered around to the old town and the Marche Provencal. Back via the Marina, bus home, a quick swim and back up to town for more lovely pasta. Stuffed!Read more

Day 5 and home

Another lovely breakfast, packed our bags to go, so sad to leave such an idyllic place. Marks video meeting by the pool, then walked to the bus stop. Half hour wait, then the packed train from Biot to Nice. The rains started, so had a wine, then a pizza in the square, during a downpour. Watched the Italy game, then headed to the tram, but lots of confusion and ended up having to walk the last mile or so. 15 minutes, then we're on the plane. Home by 1.15 am to our cuddly bear 🐻Read more
