Puebla - Day 2

Started the day with a side trip to nearby Cholula, which has the widest pyramid in the world but is mostly covered in dirt and grass now. This pyramid has a very interesting network of tunnels and multiple layers and levels below the surface. And the spanish built a church on top of it to convert the native folks to Christianity.

Unfortunately the tunnels were closed because one of them collapsed a year ago, so we checked out the museum and walked around all sites and eventually to the church on top. We also walked around the pretty historical center before returning to puebla.

Mike found a great restaurant where i had the best seafood stew ever. It was so good, i ordered it twice haha. Capped the evening at a very loud mexican bar and then said our farewell to mike because the next morning he was taking a bus south to oaxaca while we were heading west to taxco.Les mer
