    Galway

    September 24 in Ireland ☁️ 17 °C

Long day to get here. Worked from 6am to 1pm, then caught the train to montreal, 4 hour wait then flew to toronto. Another 2 hour wait then flew 6.5 hours to dublin. Arrived at noon irish time. Picked up my rental car and then picked up Vik who arrived hours earlier and was resting at a day hotel rental.

3 hour drive to Galway that was mostly just highway driving across pretty flat terrain but then immediately loved the quaint streets of galway as we walked around. Unfortunately got rain off and on again but still very enjoyable place to be.

Found a great pub for our first guinness in ireland and eventually made our way to our wine bar dinner reservation. Absolutely amazing wine and food. Vik is a master at finding fantastic restaurants.

After supper, vik was exhausted and went to bed. I found a pub with live celtic music. Met a nice family from Indiana and shared a few beers with them before calling it a night.

  • Cork

    September 26 in Ireland ☁️ 17 °C

Ambitious plan to drive the whole ring of Kerry and finish the day in Cork. Started the route at very pretty Ross castle. An hour later found a beautiful beach. Then drove high up a mountain and hiked around a bit. I think the best part of the drive was the cliffs of Kerry. Incredible dramatic cliffs above the violent ocean far below.

Drove along ocean coastlines and through pretty colourful towns for hours just taking it all in. Didnt have much time to linger though and got ourselves eventually to Cork around 5pm.

Found a brewery in the centertown area which was alright. Then to a few different tap houses. The people of cork are very colorful to say the least haha.

Made lots of new friends at a few different establishments. Extremely friendly place!! Wish i had more time here
