Day 47 - Amman

Our tour has now finished so we had a free day today. Visited the King Abdullah Mosque and the new (very Western) shopping mall this morning. Then headed to Rainbow Street / Downtown this evening in search of hummus and baklava for our final meal in Jordan.
Walking around Amman is quite a challenge - it's extremely steep and hilly, the footpaths are very uneven with 'huge' kerbs, and the traffic will only stop if you walk out in front of it (lots of transport planning needed here) - so we decided to try Uber. Really impressed at how easy and reliable it was (only 2 dinars compared with the 15 dinars quoted to us by the taxi driver on our first day here), so we're going to try that for our trip to the airport tomorrow.Lue lisää
