Day 97 - Kuala Lumpur

Up early for a final walk around George Town with Abi before meeting up with Mark and Mike for breakfast at the Postcard Cafe.
Then caught the ferry to Butterworth to catch the train to KL. Almost 9 hours later we finally arrived at our appartment, several hours later than planned due to a bus replacement service for part of the trip (caused by a crane collapsing on the line) and several long waits at signals. Lots of rain, thunder and lightning en route...
We're staying in the centre of KL, with good views of the Petronas Towers (previously the tallest building in the world) and Merdeka 118 (the second tallest building in the world) from the rooftop.
KL is definitely one of the cheapest places we've stayed. Just paid £10 for dinner for four of us!Weiterlesen
