    Mexico Day 24 - Valladolid

    February 3, 2021 in Mexico ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

We spent the morning exploring the beautiful colonial style streets and buildings in Valladolid.

We stopped for lunch at Nena Nena, a traditional Mexican cantina. The owner was really helpful and picked out 3 dishes containing chickpeas, beans and mushrooms for me to try. He did the same for Craig with lots of tasty meat options.

That afternoon we headed to a Cenote only 5 minutes away from the main square. A Cenote is a sinkhole filled with water and there are lots of them in this part of Mexico. We enjoyed a swim in the cool water and watching the locals jump in from the sides (someone jumped from where Craig is standing in the picture!).
