Mexico Day 83 - Guadalajara

After a surprisingly comfortable 9 hour overnight bus journey we arrived in Guadalajara. We booked hotel Francis for two nights which was right in the central historical district. The interior hadn't changed since the 70s but had so much character and was lovely to see something last that long.

We spent the morning exploring the lovely architecture and squares in the historical district. Craig grabbed some empinadas for breakfast which set us back about £1.50 and I had some chillaquiles for the 5th time that week (nachos with cheese, chili sauce and and egg). We headed back to the hotel rooftop just after lunch to do the family zoom quiz (and I think achieved our best score yet!!).

For dinner we went to a Vegan restaurant (sorry Craig) but we actually both enjoyed it, promise!! Craig had a mexican style pizza and he said it's the best he's had. Then we headed to a rock bar for drinks which had an extensive beer selection and played good music. We sat on a lovely terrace enjoying the view over another one of the city's lovely sqaures.
