East Coast SB 2024

With a few hours before getting too tired, we found a just off the highway hotel in PA- two queen beds.

Unfortunately, Rick let us know that all that was left was a king bed. “But don’t worry, I’ll get this figured out.” One staff was on the phone with another guest and cursed after hanging up. Rick said you better go because she won’t be happy to see my face again. He gave us a second king room on a different floor, but whatever. It was late, we were tired, and just needed to sleep. The boys had the second floor king rm and the girls headed upstairs. The girls room was locked, key worked but someone else was already staying in the room! Umm, Rick!?!? While continuing to complain about the computer system, Rick told Noel- Tim was already in bed- that there were no more rooms available. After, one other couple was assigned to a room already occupied and two more groups checked in. Thankfully there was a second hotel across the parking lot, so the girls had a spot there. This story is better told in person!

Not the way anyone planned to end the night but a memorable story nonetheless. The rest of the drive home was mostly easy.

2656 total driving miles, 8 college tours, countless memories, too many aggressive parent questions (not us), no bookstore swag purchases!, way too many french fries, So. Much. Rain., but plenty of rainbows*, too.
